01 · Be Yourself

Strange in the Best Possible Way

His name may be “Weird” Al, but there is something pretty refreshing about watching someone be completely goofy, outrageous, wildly talented, and fully accepted for exactly who they are.

02 · The Spectacle

Accordion, Costumes, and a Crowd Along for the Ride

Last night at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center was a reminder that music connects people in all kinds of ways. Sometimes it is emotional. Sometimes it is loud. Sometimes it is nostalgic. And sometimes it is a full-blown parody spectacle with costume changes, accordion, chaos, and an entire crowd happily going along for the ride.

03 · The Opening

A Stage Presence All Its Own

Weird Al Yankovic brought a show that was fun to see and even more fun to photograph. Puddles Pity Party opened the night with one of the most unique stage presences you’ll find anywhere, and together they made for a night that was strange in the best possible way.

04 · Connection

Room for Everyone

Maybe that is the point. Music does not have to fit neatly into one style to bring people together. Sometimes it just needs to be honest, creative, and weird enough for everyone to feel like they belong.
